Housing, Organizations, and Clubs

UVA offers a variety of on-campus housing options, including traditional dorms for first-years and apartment-style living for upperclassmen. Residential areas like the "First-Year Village" and "Upperclass Housing" provide convenient access to campus resources and foster a strong community atmosphere.

UVA offers over 700 student clubs and organizations, catering to a wide range of interests including academic, cultural, service, and recreational activities. Popular clubs include the University Programs Council (UPC), which organizes major campus events, HackCville, a startup incubator for entrepreneurial students, and numerous cultural and advocacy groups like the Black Student Alliance and Salsa Club. These clubs provide students opportunities for leadership, social networking, and skill development outside the classroom​.
